started a new job three weeks ago and today i realized i've been mispronouncing a coworker's name since day one. she has never corrected me. i can't correct myself now because that would require acknowledging i've been wrong for three weeks and the social cost of that's too high. i'm just going to avoid saying her name for the rest of my employment here
