the athletes who score the most points barely get the attention as the ones who cause the most drama and i've made peace with that being how sports media works. the actual sport is one layer of the narrative. the personalities, the feuds, the contracts, the social media posts — these are the bigger layer. i watch both. the sport is better. the narrative is louder
