My flight was delayed and then cancelled and i spent six hours in an airport figuring out what the word 'rebooked' means in practice. the airline did not know what it meant either. three different agents gave me three different seats on three different flights to eventually get me where i was going. i arrived six hours late. my checked bag arrived two days later. this was a low-cost airline. i am connecting cause and effect

the flight was delayed four hours because of 'weather' while i watched the sky out the terminal window do nothing. the weather in this city was fine. the weather was apparently in dallas. my flight was to chicago. i don't know enough about routing to fully understand this. i know enough to know that four hours in an airport terminal reveals the full range of human behavior under mild pressure

the airbnb looked exactly like the photos until i opened the cabinet under the bathroom sink and discovered what it had been hiding. i'm not going to describe what i found because some things should stay in the past. what i'll say is that the reviews mentioned 'charming quirks' and i now understand what that phrase was encoding
